John Hartrich is well known on Amelia Island for his friendly manner, passion for the island, attention to detail and desire for his clients to enjoy their buying and / or selling experience with him.  “Amelia Island is a wonderful place with so many great people…it’s gratifying to find a ‘slice of paradise’ for those wanting to relocate here.”  John’s sidekick of 11 years is his golden retriever, ‘Leo’, who you might see at his favorite spot downtown eating an ice cream cone!

John is a real estate broker, working in Florida and Georgia, and has been an investor himself on Amelia Island for over 15 years. His exeprtise lies in marketing and selling waterfront, resort and historic properties such as Amelia Island Plantation, Summer Beach, Old Town and other high-profile properties.  John is a member of the Amelia Island-Greater Nassau County Board of Realtors and the Georgia Commercial Board of Realtors.

Active in his community on Amelia Island, John has been a big brother in the Big Brothers Big Sisters program for over 7 years and is chairman of Big Brothers Big Sisters Advisory Board in Nassau County.  “I’ve found being a big brother to be extremely rewarding…so much so, that I do my best to bring others into the program!  It (BBBS) serves such a need and the need is great.”  John is also a boater with his ‘little brother’ as his first mate, fisherman, golfer, photographer, animal lover and lover of Amelia Island. He resides on the island with his wife, Carla, of 38 years.  They have three daughters and three grandchildren with another on the way.
